Terms and Conditions
A formal invoice along with our terms and conditions will be issued with a booking, where Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events agree to loan the named items to the hirer. The hirer in turn accepts the invoice and agrees to the terms and conditions stated below.
When goods are in possession of the hirer all items will remain the property of Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events. And the up most care must be taken to ensure they are returned in the same condition. The goods are the sole responsibility of the named hirer during the length of time previously agreed, from the time of collection/ delivery until returned back to Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events.
1. GARDEN GAMES PACKAGE
1.1. All of our terms and conditions laid out in this statement are still viable with our garden games too.
1.2. Our games package is offered as an on the day hire only. In which Dolly Dimples Weddings and Event Hire will deliver, set up, man, dismantle and collect on the day of the wedding/ event as part of their package. An agreed timeframe will be previously arranged between the hirer and Dolly Dimples weddings & events.
1.3. The hirer is required to make sure there is suitable van access to the site they require the games to be laid on as well as a suitable area, preferably grass and all within the same space. Dolly Dimples Weddings & Events Hire has been to many venues so has a very good idea on access on most venues however as part of our agreement this will need to be addressed by the hirer.
1.4. If there is a particular area you would like the games to be placed it is the hirers responsibility to address this with Dolly Dimples Weddings & Events Hire prior to the event; if no previous arrangements have been made we will make our own judgements as well as seeking advice from the venue when we arrive.
1.5. A suitable timeframe will need to be addressed prior to the big day, usually within a drink's reception or the time after your meal. It is the sole responsibility of the hirer to address this with Dolly Dimples Weddings & Events Hire no later than one month prior to the event date.
1.6. It is the hirers sole responsibility to ensure the games are played with in a safe manner preventing accidents and young children are supervised by an adult at all times to prevent harm. Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events accepts no responsibility for any damage, breakages or injury to any persons or property during the time of possession by the hirer.
1.7. Dolly Dimples Weddings & Events can accept no responsibility in the event of bad weather, it is advisable to plan a second option on where to place the items in the event of bad weather. If the venue allows most of our games are able to go inside, it’s the hirers responsibility to discuss this with both your venue and Dolly Dimples Weddings & Events Hire prior to event.
1.8. Dolly Dimples Weddings & Events Hire reserves the right to pack away items/ and end the hire in the event of extreme weather, as you can appreciate bad weather can damage the items and could affect your damages deposit. We will do our upmost to avoid this situation.
1.9. We will not be liable for any losses associated from forced majeure.
2. CANDY FLOSS
2.1. It is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure there is a suitable power supply for the candy floss machine to provide its service. A standard sole use of an indoor plug is sufficient. We can provide an extension lead for outdoor use. Please make prior arrangements with both the venue and Dolly Dimples Weddings & Events Hire.
2.2. Dolly Dimples Weddings & Events Hire accepts no responsibility to harm, damage or loss to any persons or property through the hire and serving of candy floss
2.3. Dolly Dimples Weddings & Events Hire has undertaken a health and hygiene course and has the relevant certificate to accompany this, if you wish to see a copy please request.
2.4. It is the sole responsibility of the hirer to make sure the area in which you wish to have the candy floss served is suitable for doing so.
3. LENGTH OF HIRE OF DÉCOR PROPS
3.1. The standard hire term of decor goods supplied by Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events is over 1-3 days depending on the goods and other bookings. If a longer time frame is required please ask for a personalised quotation. All Lengths of hire must be agreed to by Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events before the hire term commences.
4. CARE OF ITEMS
4.1. As you can appreciate all our items are either handmade or of vintage condition therefore needing extra love and attention during the time period that they are in your care, due to their uniqueness.
4.2. If for any reason the property of Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events becomes damaged, lost or stolen the hirer must report this to Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events as soon as possible.
4.3. The cost for replacing or repairing the item/ items will be taken from the damages deposit previously paid by the hirer. If for any reason the damage deposit doesn't cover the cost of replacing the hired goods an invoice will be issued to the hirer detailing the expenses due.
4.4. Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events accepts no responsibility for damage, breakages or injury to any persons or property during the time of possession of the hirer.
5. COLLECTION AND DELIVERY
5.1. On receipt of goods a full detailed inventory will be supplied, and the hirer must view the items before agreeing to receive them into their care. If on delivery no-one is available to accept the items/ or the customer fails to overlook the items before use then the items will be automatically deemed to be delivered in a clean and undamaged manner. Please note we wouldn’t willingly hand over items knowing that they were defected. If for any reason damaged or missing items are supplied then Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events will make every effort to resolve the issue.
5.2. All items excluding our garden games are available for the client to collect from Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events based in Great Wymondley, Hertfordshire free of charge. Items can also be delivered, posted and collected but will incur a delivery charge pending on distance. We can supply a quotation by emailing us with an address including postcode in which the items need to be delivered/collected too.
5.3. Our Garden Games Package is delivered by ourselves and a delivery charge will be outlined within your costings detailed on your invoice.
5.4. When the hire period is nearing closure, all items must be ready for collection and securely packed for Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events to collect, if this isn’t the case you may incur additional charges. This is also applicable to items being returned to us by the hirer.
6. TERMS OF PAYMENT
6.1. Once a client has received their individual quotation and you are happy to proceed with a booking a 50% deposit of the hire charge is required to secure your date subsequently reserving the items requested.
6.2. The remaining balance must be paid one month prior to the event date, failure to complete payment one month beforehand and with less than 14days to go could deem our agreement cancelled and/or a £50 fee for late payments will also be due.
7. DAMAGES DEPOSIT
7.1. A damage deposit must also be paid on full balance to cover any potential damages, breakages or loss etc. This will be dependent on items hired and outlined within your invoice costs.
7.2. The refundable deposit is returned to the hirer once all items are checked and deemed in a satisfactory condition after the event. We will do our up most to return deposits within 5 working days post items being returned.
7.3. If we deem items damaged, broken or lost we will notify you via email as soon as possible stating costs incurred to your deposit. If the costs are above the value of the damage deposit, we will invoice you for the extra expenses.
7.4. Damage deposit refunds need to be claimed no later than 3months post the event if thereafter they will be deemed invalid.
8. CANCELLATIONS & CHANGE OF DATE
8.1. If for any reason you wish to cancel or change the booking date, we will need to be notified by the hirer immediately in writing.
8.2. If the cancellation takes place within 14 days of the initial payment, a full refund will be given. If after this time before the final payment has been made a 50% refund will be given. If the total invoice has been paid one month prior to the event date and before 14 days then 25% of the total is refunded, if only 14days notice is given prior to the event date the hirer will forfeit their full payment.
8.3. Change of date fees will apply of £50 in all circumstances.
8.4. We will not be liable for any losses associated from forced majeure.
9. INSURANCE
9.1. We do recommend that the hirer takes out specialist wedding insurance which will cover their event which can be taken out with an independent broker. All our items once in the care of the hirer are their sole reasonability, therefore any damages, loss or breakages will need to be covered by the hirer.
9.2. Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events has their own insurance, sometimes a venue will wish to see this, if you require a copy please do email us and we will happily send one to you.
10. LIABILITY AND RISK
10.1. Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events accepts no responsibility for damage or injury to any persons or property as a result of the hire agreement.
10.2. The Contract, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter or formation shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
10.3. Each party irrevocably agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with the Contract or its subject matter or formation.
10.4. this clause will legally exclude any prior communication oral, written or emailed.
By placing a booking and a payment is received by Dolly Dimples Weddings and Events Hire you are deemed to be in agreeance to the above terms and conditions.
